Annual Robert Burns Dinner & Fundraiser

We invite you to attend Winchester's annual dinner and fundraiser in honor of the birthday of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns.

We our honored to have as our special guest for the evening, Pipe Major Brian Donaldson. Formerly of the Scots Guards Regiment in the British Army, and world champion piper, he will be sharing a few tunes on the pipes with us.

In addition to music and entertainment provided by the City of Winchester Pipes and Drums, there will be recitations of some of Burns' poems, a cocktail hour, a full dinner and dessert, wine and beer, a whisky selection, and of course, a haggis.

Tickets and location/parking details are below.

Raffles, silent auctions, and other opportunities to benefit the band will be available throughout the evening, please bring cash! If you have items you would like to donate to the band to be included in the raffle prizes, please contact us at band@cowpad.org

A Scottish Shortbread Baking Contest will be held during the evening. To enter, bring a non-returnable container with at least 12 samples of shortbread to the dinner. King Arthur flour should be used in the recipe. Multiple entries are allowed. Prizes will be awarded, courtesy of sponsor King Arthur Baking Company. All shortbread surplus to the competition requirements will be made available for dinner guests to sample.
